PsycBITE: Brain Impairment Treatment Database

PsycBITE: Psychological Database for Brain Impairment Treatment Efficacy

The aim of PsycBITE is to enable clinicians to quickly identify, evaluate and implement evidence-based interventions for psychological issues experienced by people with acquired brain impairment. Also, the database enables students and researchers of different disciplines to find articles which might be relevant to their field of study.

Members of the original team are a multidisciplinary group of researchers in Sydney, Australia, each of whom has many years of clinical experience in the management of people with acquired brain impairment.

OTCats: Occupational Therapy Critically Appraised Topics


OTCats A CAT is like a shorter and less rigorous version of a systematic review, summarising the best available research evidence on a topic, and OTCats covers occupational therapy interventions. These occupational therapy CATs have not been formally peer reviewed, other than by the developer of the site, Dr Annie McCluskey, PhD, MA, DipCOT.

Physiotherapy Evidence Database: PEDro


PEDro is a free database of over 15,500 randomised trials, systematic reviews and clinical practice guidelines in physiotherapy. Some of the articles and guidelines are available free online.

For each trial, review or guideline, PEDro provides the citation details, the abstract and a link to the full text, where possible. All trials on PEDro are independently assessed for quality. These quality ratings are used to quickly guide users to trials that are more likely to be valid and to contain sufficient information to guide clinical practice.

PEDro is produced by the Centre for Evidence-Based Physiotherapy at The George Institute for International Health.
