Resources for Medical Assistants

For Certified Medical Assistants: The American Association of Medical Assistants offers continuing education courses, $10 for members, $15 for non-members, as well as information about recertification and selected articles from CMA Today.

Pennsylvania has a chapter, the Pennsylvania Society of Medical Assistants.

For Registered Medical Assistants: The American Registry of Medical Assistants is a duly incorporated and chartered nonprofit, National Registry of and for Qualified Medical Assistants. Its purpose is to certify and advance the professionalism of the qualified Medical Assistant; to provide, through publications, updated medical and social information of interest to the Assistant; and to be of service to its members whenever possible.



American Medical Technologists (AMT) is a nonprofit certification agency and professional membership association, including Medical Technologists, Medical Laboratory Technicians, Medical Lab Assistants, Medical Assistants, Medical Administrative Specialists, Phlebotomy Technicians, Allied Health Instructors, Clinical Laboratory Consultants
